Reconnect with your authentic self.

Feeling trapped in a cycle of negative self-talk and self-doubt? Learn how to build a healthier relationship with yourself in our 8-week virtual group, The Mindful Path.

Are you tired of being stuck in old patterns?

You know you have problems. Depression. Anxiety. Shame. Guilt. Low self-confidence. An inner critic that doesn’t ever quiet down. But despite the hours of therapy and self-help programs you’ve tried, you feel stuck. You don’t feel in control of your life or your decisions, and the weight of your emotional baggage leaves you feeling unfulfilled and disconnected.

Maybe you’re held back by the never-ending anxiety and fear of making the wrong choices, stuck in “analysis paralysis” or repeating old patterns. Taking risks doesn’t feel safe, because what if you fail? What if following what you think you want makes you a bad or selfish person? What if others are disappointed in you?

When you do try something new or pursue what feels like your authentic self, you end up caught in a cycle of negative self-talk, questioning and judging your every move and leaving you feeling confused and conflicted. Self-doubt looms over every decision, and you end up overwhelmed by the sheer number of opportunities to make the “wrong” choice.

We all have these internal narratives about how we “should” act; how we should live our life and how to be successful. Sometimes, we get too attached to these narratives and let beliefs or ideas that are created by past experiences or others’ expectations for us drive our choices in life. We are trapped by our inner critic’s fear mindset; never taking risks or trying new things that might bring us closer to our authentic self.

And—there is a way out of this cycle. You can regain a sense of choice and autonomy in your life and learn how to be gentle and less judgmental of yourself. You can stop spinning your wheels and free up time and energy for what’s truly important to you.

In The Mindful Path, we won’t take away your stressors, teach you a magical solution to solve all of your problems, or change who you are as a person — but we will teach you how to trust yourself, listen to your emotions without being driven by them, and safely take risks that are worthwhile to you.

We can help you “be comfortable in discomfort” and tolerate the ambiguity and uncertainty of life with greater confidence. You can learn how to navigate the daily stressors of life in a way that is aligned with your values and authentic self, even when those experiences are unpleasant or distressing. We’ll teach you how to set yourself up for building more a fulfilling, contented life and regain a sense of empowerment and hope.

So…how exactly can we help you rebuild your relationship with yourself?

Our 8-week virtual group, The Mindful Path, will help you:

  • Let go of harmful narratives about yourself and calm your inner critic

  • Gain insight into your emotional patterns and internal experiences

  • Practice more self-compassion, acceptance, and understanding of yourself.

  • Build trust in yourself and your ability to evaluate which problems are worth trying to change—and which to aren’t

  • Learn how to persist through roadblocks without getting discouraged or giving up

  • Be less driven by impulsive, momentary emotional reactions and make more intentional choices guided by your values

Here’s how we’ll take you from stressed to centered:

60-Minute Virtual Group

Our weekly small group will meet for 8 weeks on a secure virtual platform. Each week, your licensed therapists, Shannon & Lexi, will guide you through applying the skills you’ve learned and practicing the process of reconnecting to your authentic self, managing your emotional and mental energy, and discerning what’s important to you.

Video Skills Lessons

Each week, you’ll watch a recorded video lesson to learn the skills and strategies we cover in that week’s group session. You’ll learn our unique approach to mindfulness, how to build a healthy relationship with your “internal states”, clarifying your values + vision, and using a data-driven approach to your problems.

Real Life Examples

Everything you learn in this course is specific to you — no cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all solutions. We use real life examples when teaching our content, and in our live groups we teach you how to apply the content you’re learning to your specific context, situation, life history, and problems.

Live Support & Feedback

Your therapists are available for any questions, feedback, or support you need throughout the eight weeks of the group. We’ll help you troubleshoot or process anything you’re stuck on and give you individualized feedback on how to apply what you’re learning.

Individual Check-Ins

Halfway through the course, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule a 15-minute check-in with Shannon or Lexi to make sure you’re on track with your goals for the course and get feedback to maximize the benefits of your participation in the group.

Guided Exercises

Each class will open and end with a guided meditation exercise led by Lexi or Shannon to help you practice that week’s skills content. At the end of the course, you will get a digital package of these exercises recorded for you, so you can continue to use them on your own after the class ends.

How does the sign-up process for the group work?

FAQs

How do I sign up for the group?

Contact us to let us know you’re interested, and we’ll set up a phone call to discuss the group, make sure it’s a good fit for your needs, and talk about next steps with you.

If we mutually decide it’s a good fit, you’ll schedule a short meeting with one of the therapists to complete an orientation for the group and connect you to any additional resources outside the group you need to address your mental health.

Is this a therapy group, or…?

Kind of yes, kind of no. It’s run by licensed therapists and there is a therapy skills training portion of the group. However, you don’t need a diagnosis or mental health issue to participate and we don’t bill insurance. We aren’t going to process your emotions in-depth each group, although each member will have an opportunity for personalized feedback during their hot seat.

Do I have to attend all eight sessions of the group?

We ask that when you reserve your spot in the group, you commit to making an effort to attending each group session. You are making an investment in yourself and we believe it’s important to prioritize that time to ensure you get the most you can out of the group.

However, if you have to miss a group session due to illness or emergency, you’ll still be able to watch the video lesson recordings and do the practice exercises on your own using your workbook. The live group sessions will not be recorded to protect group member privacy and confidentiality.

How much does it cost?

The group is $560 total, which works out to $70 per group session. We require $200 at sign-up as a down payment to secure your spot in the group, and the remainder must be paid by the first group session.

When does the group happen?

The next session of The Mindful Path is not currently scheduled. Sign up for our interest list and we’ll reach out to you when we are scheduling consultation calls for the next group!

How do I know if this is for me?

Good question! We want to make sure that you feel 100% confident the group is a good match for your needs, which is why we have a detailed phone screening call to answer any lingering questions and make sure we can help you with your goals, as well as a separate orientation with one of the group therapists, before ever asking you to commit or pay a deposit.

If we don’t think the group is a good fit for you, we’ll try to recommend some other resources we think might help.

Will this group be offered again?

Yes! Although we don’t know when or if it will be exactly the same format.

There are only eight (8) spots available in the group on a first-come, first-served basis. If you express interest after the group is already full, you can be placed on a waitlist for future groups.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must be physically located in the state of Minnesota OR another participating PsyPact State (see the list here) during the virtual classes in order to participate in this group. Lexi and Shannon are licensed mental health professionals in Minnesota and according to legal statutes and regulations can only work with clients located in Minnesota or in a state that has passed PsyPact legislation.
